Lauren Champion (she/her) is a compassionate and approachable counsellor who is passionate about supporting clients in their mental health journey. As a mom to two boys ages 2 and 4, Lauren has experienced her own anxieties, intrusive thoughts, and feelings of being overwhelmed through her journey of Matrescence. Lauren knows firsthand how challenging it can be as a mom, with constant expectations, feelings of guilt and being pulled in multiple directions. She strives to create a space of acceptance and empowerment, and her goal is to validate her clients, celebrate their victories and provide concrete strategies to help during life’s difficult moments.
Lauren supports her clients through a person-centred, holistic, mindfulness-based and trauma-informed lens. She is grateful to live, work and play on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples, including the territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
